Just a note for the Kal.
What exactly do you mean by "along the clearing". Use the map to show me if you need to.
Also, these are grenades so they must either be thrown for exploding on impact or set for a times detonation, no remote detonation. Please indicate which of these you are doing. Remember most scenes lasts about 2 minuites

I don't like the smoke screen idea at all. I just finished hiding the shuttle, so if we all hide in the woods, any passing ship won't even see us unless they land.

Nope, but they'll see the fighter in the lake and land in the closest clearing. to deploy troops to check for survivors.

You might as well give yourself the advantage of surprise with the smoke screen. They wont know who deployed it, how many there are or what they're doing there.

Note for Bob:
I'm still not quite sure what you want. It would be best if you could make the map with a dot for each grenade instead of a "projected smoke screen" - there are 6 grenades. Also, are you going to try to throw them to the places you want or run around placing them. If you are not throwing them exactly how long are you going to set the timer on each grenade.
And are you and Geno each takeing 3 or is one of you doing it all. If you make a map showing the grenades please indicated the order in which they will be placed.

The Wild Die:

As many of you may have guessed I have not been rolling the wild die during posts.
For those new to the SW:RPG I will explain it's purpose:
The Wild die is a special die which is rolled as one of the regular dice. If it rolls a 6 then you get to roll it again and continue adding the D to your roll untill you stop rolling 6's. If it rolls a 1 then you lose your highest D and the dice is rolled again. If it rolls a 1 again then you experince a complication in your task - which means some small part of the task has gone wrong in an unexpected way.

At first I didn't use this mechanic because my digital dice roller didn't support it. Since then I have found one that does but I continued to not use it in the interest of keeping the game stable until all the characters had arrived. Now that no new characters are joining I will begin using this mechanic - so don't be supprised if one of your dice rolls goes extremely well, or extremely poorly.

Yay! Wild die is fun!

Just out of curiousity, which dice roller in particular are you using? I've found 2 or 3 so far that suppor the wild die mechanic.

Note for Ghost and Thanatos:
Just for clarification you guys are still strapped into your seats. The whole seat unit is ejected from the fighter and that is what the shoot is attached to.

A few questions for clarifications sake...

1. Approximatley how high up are we right now?

2. Are those ties headed for us, or just in our particular direction?

3. Are we over the lake, and if so, how deep would it be below us?

Sorry about that ambiguity about what you were over, I cleared up the post a little. You are indeed over the lake.

I would say you are about 500m in the air. The fighters are headed in your general direction, but you can probably bet that will change soon, your parashoots are pretty conspicious.
It is hard to say how deep the lake would be (there is only one way to find out. :D ) but you could proabably estimate it's atleast 8-10 meters deep at the point below you, much more towards the center.

Next question...

Would a jump into the lake at this height be survivable? I assume the parachute is dropping at a steady rate of say maybe 1 meter per second....

You would take approximatly 54D in falling damage. I might lower that a bit since it is water - but you probably still wouldn't want to risk it.

1 m/s is a pretty good estimation for how quickly you are falling.
