Several days went by and the bird kept making its presence known. After a pre-Christmas dinner party, during which the bird was particularly vocal, the priest put a blanket over the cage to give the bird a time out. He was quiet until dinner the next day, when the priest had the bishop of his dioces as a guest. The bird spouted out evey word and vulgarity that he knew. The priest was very embarrassed and furious. He excused himself from the table, took the bird from his cage and put him in the freezer. When the bishop saw this he was fairly distressed. The priest assured him that it was only a short cool down period. They could both hear the bird's foul language from the next room, but suddenly there was silence.
The priest became worried that he may have killed the bird and rushed to the freezer to see what had happened. He opened the door and saw the bird, who looked like he had seen a ghost. The bird nervously looked at the priest and said, "I'll never do it again, just don't do to me what you did to him," as he pointed to a turkey that was sitting in the corner of the freezer.
