Our internet will be cut off for six days, so responses to posts will be slow. It's all Nik's fault :lol:

It's too bad they didn't give you any idea of how much you were over the "limit", there is supposed to be no bandwidth cap right?

I think you should call them and tell them to go to hell and then switch to DSL, that's what we did when they started screwing with us.

They never promised us no cap, it's just what we heard from others.

I'm happy with the cable. It allows enough bandwidth for my needs. Unfortunately, Mike feels he needs to download every game, even though he can't run them.

I agree, you should be able to download as much as you want, and as long as there are other services out there that will let you do that, you might as well be using them.

I say switch now, let the cable company know they can't screw with you.

Plus Neb, that web broadcast of yours eats bandwidth, plus the avatar hosting... I think you play a small part in the bandwidth utilization

the web cam was up for 2 days only and as far as i know, only Jon and Gray really watched it for an extended period of time.

and yes, hosting the avatar is a small part of the bandwidth usage.

But is the picture in your signature not updated every 30 sec? Remember that each time it appears on the page is a separate transfer form your server. It adds up quick!

On a side note if you want to know how much bandwidth your server is using and keep track of the amount of data sent and received, I have cool script that does it!
