There are quite a few more than I thought.

He makes some good points, but some of the stuff is pretty weak - like this point from ROTK.
I'm not sure how much stuff like this really matters.
The Dead were like a "grey tide" according to Gimli (ROTK p.186,187). Jackson has the Dead appear as a sort of sickly green.

Well, you could argue that none of the differences matter. Some of the things Jackson did I agree with--others I don't. But then everybody has a different interpretation of the books.
And........................meh.

Jackson wasn't so much given the responsibility as that he took it. He did a fairly decent job; though, I feel he did make a few errors. Overall, he did an acceptable job.

The series makes excellent books, but they wouldnt translate well into movies. There are too many fine details (Moreso than LotR) that couldnt be cut out, that and the series is going to push 6 books at the rate its going at now.
Generall, Jackson did a good job translating the books to movies. Honestly, who cares if he changed the colour of the Undead or other minor details. The main thing is that the story itself was told without much alteration.

No, they arent breasts, they're personalities, because its ok to like a girl for her personalities

He pulled off one of the most mammoth directing jobs ever attempted, but Lord of the Rings' director Peter Jackson admits he's still surprised he was hired for the job
not the part in bold. he was hired for the job.

Peter Jackson was hired by New Line yes, but only after he did the initial filming and work on the script and then pitched it to New Line.

Yeah, I really don't care about the minor things (ie. the Undead colours). Having the elves at Helm's Deep was a bit much, though. However, the Shire stuff better be in the extended edition.
