Should I make the board searchable by google?

i think the board should stay within the parameters of the people we know... that is part of the appeal of this board... keeps us in contact and we can talk about things that i dont know if i would nescerrily talk about else where

I know I'm the new guy, but I'm gonna say my piece. I think that if the board is opened to google that there could be a lot of people spamming the boards. I noticed just after I joined that my presence was kind of questioned due to the lack of posts, and I'm pretty sure that this will happen alot more if the general public gets in on it. There may also be maintenance problems with the potential volume of the posts. It doesn't really matter to me what your decision is, but I agree with Tempus, that this is a way to keep a core group of people in contact without a lot of uninvited attention; basically an exclusive club.

Besides, we all ready are.

Check out "kalshadowtech" in google and up comes our little webpage. The only spam I've seen...............was mine.

Besides, we've all ready shown that we can deal with unwanted people.

Quite frankly, other people aren't gonna care about our forum unless we tell 'em about it. Even then it's questionable.

I actually saw that episode of the man show on TV, I wonder if that hurts at all.

As for being open to Google, it seems like a good thing, but if we are going to get alot of spam, then I would have to vote no. Then again, if all the mods are up to the challenge of dealing with some new people then it might be ok, atleast to try for a while, so I am going to vote yes for now.
