Golden Globe Awards

Lord of the Rings...I don't know if you've seen it or not, and it doesn't really matter. I have it from a reliable source that Lord of the Rings just won best picture in the golden globe awards. I was out of the room at the time of the announcement. It also one for best musical score and for the best song. The guy that Played Gollum also one an award.

What do you think about this bit of news?

actually, the golden globes are more reputable than the Oscars, but thats just what Im told. I really dont give two shits who wins what, becuse they keep making BAD movies....

Obviously these awards arent any incentive to make better ones.

It looks like this post is struggling to be a poll but didn't quite make it.

I think the Oscars are much more repuatable than the Golden Globes, they have been around longer, and they are more popular. I don't even know who votes for the GG's.

RotK could be eligible for some actual awards, outside of the technical or sound areas.. but i don't follow awards ceremonies much at all, and whether it wins or not we'll know if it deserved it.
