Ian McKellen Ready for The Hobbit

Comingsoon.net reports that Ian McKellen is interested in reprising the role of Gandalf in a film adaptation of The Hobbit, once the issues of the rights are settled. He told Channel 4 talk show "Richard and Judy" that "there is currently a situation where two companies own the rights, but when that's sorted out Peter Jackson and I will sit and talk it over. We've mentioned it recently and Peter is looking forward to getting it into production". He's also looking forward to playing Gandalf the Grey again because he thinks Gandalf the White is a "stick in the mud".

Nice! I'm all for it, I want a painstakingly complete movie adaptation.
