Windows XP Question

This is just a question that I need answered for clarification.

Can a computers BIOS be too out of date to allow Windows XP to install? I am not aware of anything like that. My friends claims that the reason he cant install XP on his PII 333 and another PII 350 is because the bios will not support. To the best of my knowledge, the bios loses control once the OS takes over and shouldnt effect any windows XP install. On a side note, he got Win 2k working on both, which makes me go "hmmmm". Im pretty sure hes full of shit since I've seen XP on my old 333.

Thanks

ya hes full of shit indeed.
Your OS has "im pritty shure dont quote me on this" nothing to do with what date your bios is.

Ya i got a 333 here and it had xp on it so i just think that guy is full of shit and has a bad copy of xp or someing
