yes, and someday when Holograms and Holosuites are reality, they will remake them again so you can interact. Great literature lives forever.

I hate to say it and crush your dreems but STAR TRECK IS NOT REAL and will never be real.
You have about as much of a chance as craping a 8 foot long car out of your ass.

While I agree for the most part (in my life time), many of the technologies from Star Trek are being to show up in our every day lives. Advanced Palm Pilots, light memory storage, nanotechnology, scientists being able to freeze light, scientists being able to make light move faster than the speed of light (wrap your head around THAT one), antimatter being produced by CERN, and military railguns (whoops!........sorry, Quake's always on the mind

) all make SOME of the Star Trek techology a possibility.
In fact, MIT has created "the Cave." It's essentially a giant monitor/room that one wears a VR suit in and runs around in. The techies there even got it to run Quake 2 a while back. While it prolly won't be a reality all that soon, don't count some of the Trekkie stuff out just yet.

as long as you dont rule out the posibility of the 8 foot car.
