I mean, really, do the record companies honestly wonder why people haven't been buying their records? When you fark around with people, they eventually will dig in their heels and voice their opinion the strongest way they know how--their wallets. Surprisingly, this is one area where Apple is actually on top off (their itunes thinger). It will most likely fail due to the small group of people it appeals to, but there's nothing stopping Sony from doing the same thing, for example.
