I've been thinking a lot about safety at the field lately, and I have been disappointed in the disregard some people have for being safe while playing. I understand that I can't force people to change, but I can set the best example possible so I am posting this to announce my commitment to being as safe as possible while playing.

This includes:

- Masks on at all times when not in the staging area.
- Safety activated & barrel sleeve on marker when not playing in an active game.
- Only test fire (live or dry) while outside (all the way outside) with mask on.

Please call me out if I forget these or any other safety items.

I will still continue to ask others to put their masks on, and if you have a barrel sleeve PLEASE BRING & USE IT. We almost had a nasty accident the last time I was playing where someone accidentally shot in the staging area and their marker was not set to safe mode. Luckily it went into the ceiling.

Some of you may point out that my motto is "Safety Third" behind fun and profit, and while this may be true, I am referring to me doing things that are unsafe for me. Paintball is a group activity, and we are all responsible for each others safety so STAY SHARP.

Yeah I'll join this initiative, people need to be smart about how they are test firing and careful about when their safety is on.

If it's a matter of habit and it's drilled into you, the possibility of an accident goes from omnipresent to being an outside occurrence.

Another big part of it is letting people know when they're being unsafe according to the field rules. We have a lot of turnover, lots of new people and it might be that they just don't know better.
