Here's a pretty good idea, especially if you have a pump and don't want to purchase a Freak-style kit to prevent roll-outs:

Automag-Style Ball Detents

Basically, you place a wire detent in the barrel.

I think this is an easy, useful mod Homey J could do with his lathe. Dremel in the slot and you're done. I have a $10 barrel I would be willing to try this with.

That's actually why I posted it.

You have a bunch of options to stop roll-outs:

-piece of electrical tape
-nail polish
-detent rings (Homey J can lathe them fairly simple)
-ASP o-ring style (once the CNC is up and going this would be your best option)
-Freak-style barrel insert (ie. Freak, iFit, Eigenbarrel, Inception back, etc.)
-the above Automag-style detent

The first 2 are the easiest and cheapest. I did the electrical tape one for my Splatmaster at the last game (well, for that reason and another but I'll show why in a future thread).

Air fittings in Kitchener:

Just so you know what to ask for, its a 1/8" pipe nipple. If it is threaded all the way across with no gap in the threads in the middle it is a "closed nipple" if there is a gap in the thread, its '3/4" long 1/8" nipple' ( the 3/4" being just for example, ask for the length you need).

You will need to find a hydraulics or hosing supplier that knows the details on what they carry. The generic fittings you can get at your local ace hardware may look the same but may or may not be rated for high pressures. Whatever you do don't let anyone convince you to buy black pipe nipples for this, they are only rated for low pressure.

I use my local supplier here in kitchener, it's called Rubberline.

Convert 9v Fasta to 18v. Seems to be the same motor/board so it's an easy series mod:

How to take apart a PPS HPR:

-thread in bolt with nuts
-tighten first nut against rock (how tight?)
-tighten second nut to first nut (I can get this pretty damn tight)
-back out the assembly
