I want to see that. The only thing is that you have to have a pilot light so evertime you shoot, you have a gout of flame.

Propane markers are real:

and they work the same way as CO2. No flame required, but they stink to high heaven.

No, this gun really does burn the gas.
That is why the line died, they could not find a way to get rid of the heat fast enough to make it semi and full auto.
I always wanted to get one of these to try it out.

the C-3 is unique because it's using the combustion of propane rather than the expansion of an inert gas to propel the ball.
I had heard somewhere else that is just used the gas. I guess I should have checked for myself

Yeah, I almost had one. My max bid was $110 and the thing went for $155. My guess is that they could have done a slower semi with serious venting/cooling on the thing, but that it would have either been cumbersome or wouldn't have matched the Tippmann mil-sim motif.
I wanted one because I can get propane refills for free and 50000 shots per fill seems pretty awesome. Even if it was 5000, that would be amazing. This quote from Warpig pretty much sums it up:

Compared to disposable 12 gram CO2 cartridges that yield a typical 20 to 30 shots in paintball pistols, the C3 gets appreciable better mileage. Tippmann estimates that a single 16.4 ounce propane tank provides enough fuel for 50,000 shots. To put that in perspective, that is 25 cases of paintballs, a stack five boxes wide, and five boxes tall. Looked at another way, if fired at the four ball per second rate that Tippmann lists as the C3's maximum rate of fire, it would take just under three and a half hours of non-stop shooting enough paint to fill the backseat of a car, to use up a tank that only cost a buck and a half.
