Giving yourself the item code will only ever give you map_0.
You can give yourself any map # the same way you get coloured wool.
BUT... You need to craft it to generate a new map, and it has a limited range.
I crafted map_8 today at the Gate Platform. I wanted to list out all the maps people have made, so if you have a map, please respond with the # and where it is.
0= Server Default (blank)

2=
3=
4=
5=
6=
7=
8= showdesktop - Gate Platform
