Give yourself ANY item

Now I know you may be thinking DUH! /item dumb ass!
But WAIT!
How do you get different coloured wools/dyes and the different wood/grass/sapling types?
I'll tell you, and it's not really a secret.
Everyone knows that if you type /i <ID> <QTY> that you get any item, but if you add the <USER> <DAMAGE> modifiers you can specify the specific type of that item.
Using one of these reference pictures:

you can easily find the damage modified (the smaller #) next to each special item.
For example:
will give me 64 orange wool
