With the return of KalNet Message Boards Inc, and what looks to be a renewed commitment from Bob to be intimately involved in event awareness, the SWORP board will be deleted on June 1st, 2011 after all relevant information has been transferred.

First Person Paintball is my personal gateway to the paintball world. There are 3 main components:

Facebook will be a public portal (in conjunction with KalNet) to announce events and new developments in technology.
YouTube will feature videos with YOU in them. I will have a helmet/gun cam to capture the adventure.
Twitter will be the Live-to-Air version with updates between rounds and maybe even in-game!

Please help support me! Like, Subscribe, Friend, & Follow me into the future!!

Email me @ firstpersonpaintball@gmail.com if you have any questions or have any information to share.

Hopefully I will need to get some info from you about Facebook & Twitter set-up soon.

I would like to Integrate my calender system with Facebook so that users that accept on FB will be flagged in my local DB and vice versa.
As for twitter, when the system sends out Email and SMS Text messages it would be nice if it Tweeted to.

As for Youtube, that one is pretty easy to integrate into the portal. We just need some damn videos!
I was thinking we could do a Video per Mode, kinda of like a movie trailer.

I just didn't want to reinvent the wheel. If I were you, I would ditch the custom setup and piggyback on the already set up sites (or me lol)

I get that, but not everyone is on facebook and twitter.
eg. Stratus and The Jew, plus Ironfist only checks it once every 6 months or so lol.

The system I am building is one that could run all aspects of a Full Fledged paint ball range.
Everything from customer info, per-motions, Player Stats, inventory management, sales figures.

Most companies maintain there own internal system for handling this sort of thing and build plugins and data feeds for Social setups like FB.
That is what the FB API is built around.

So it is not so much re-inventing the wheel as building a modular POS and game control system for Paintball Fields.

I think we should all work together to integrate everything instead of competing with each other.

I'm not working against anyone. I set up a a new message board because this one was down. Now that it's back, the new one is going to go away. I'm also not keen on having random people that we know and work with having access to our high-school era message board posts. Is there a way to limit users to certain areas so that they only see paintball or minecraft?

As far as everyone not being on FB or Twitter, a lot more people in the world are members of those sites than this one :D. I'm trying to reach the general populous.

Besides the fact that my sites are for posting information about MY paintball experiences. It just so happens that MY experiences are OUR experiences right now. I wanted to leave room to grow. Plus, no one can settle on a name for our paintball group. If people like First Person and want to help me out with promotion, I'm welcome to the idea.

As for limiting, yep could do that.
At the moment it is already setup for the Members Forum.
Also, at the moment the whole board is open that I know of.

If everyone is worried about it, it can be set-up without to much trouble.
Throw a poll up in the polls forum about it.
I personally don't care if people read through it all. lol, they would have to sift through all of the Jews self bloging to find anything anyway!
but whatever everyone thinks is the best.

As for the Facebook issue, I was not referring to usage between this site and Facebook.
I was meaning that say adrenalin paintball wanted to a system to manage their operations.
Facebook would not be able to do that. It would be a very powerful advertisement system which leads into the "reach the general populous" that you mentioned.

But the data that will be advertised needs to come from somewhere. That is what I am building.
Hence why I said I would need info from you about your Facebook and Twitter stuff. I want to integrate those two as output to this system.

eg. you are a registered player in the internal system, the computer logs that you Won the current game of Assassins.
The computer system automatically tweets that out.
What's more you killed everyone! a perfect game. This gets posted to Facebook the second it happens.
maybe via an app that you installed in your Facebook, that Achievement pops up on your wall. Assuming you enabled that feature.

Total integration.

Great ideas! My current accounts are not intended for that, but that is something I would love to try. As of right now, I am going to live tweet from the field.
