So this may or may not belong in the humor forum, but I was driving the company truck on Saturday, minding my own business when an eight-point buck decided to say hello to the front of the truck with his ass. The stupid animal blew off my license plate, front headlight and dented a steel bumper. The truck's in the shop now, and the deer's in the bush (Minus a few cuts of meat) As soon as I can figure out how to upload pics, I've got some pretty good ones.

As you can see, he was a big one. He was a hundred and sixty five pounds dressed, which means he was in the neighborhood of two hundred ten live. Unfortunately, there wasn't much usable meat on him. His stomach was ruptured by the impact, so it blew up underneath his skin on the side he was hit. Ruined most of the meat. Of course, I do have the heart in my fridge, so I can eat it and gain his sweet tasty courage.

BAM! First kill. What is with you and hitting animals with vehicles? His rich tasty courage lol!

Man, if the last pics had you frothing at the mouth with his blood while holding the heart.............that would just be jawsome.

The rack (And the attached bit of skull that was chainsawed off with it) will eventually become part of a chandelier. Since I killed the deer with a company truck, the boss is keeping the rack. Considering I didn't catch any grief for the thousands of dollars damage, I think I'm OK with that. Besides, I'm going to shoot a deer and mount that. More sporting, that.
