Since this is coming up soon, I would just like to gauge what everyone is thinking about this. We can take a little pre-poll about the issue here.

Also, feel free to post what you think the pros and cons are.

I myself am still on the fence, bigger government or more representation?

I've always been in favor of the Austrialian system.
Elect the the common denominator. It always for a more fully sustained government as it really becomes the 'least worst' candidate

Before I vote, lemme make sure I understand how this will go down (from my point of view, they haven't covered this enough on the news).

The new method, for example, would make it so that I would be able to locally elect an NDP canidate and "listed" elect John Tory, correct? If so, I'd choose the new method.

I'm all for smaller governments. And if we can't shrink 'em, we might as well tie 'em up so that they can't fark anything else up.

EDIT:

After having watched the movie, I'm more confused. I you choose your listed member and that has an effect on how many local seats are available, how is this any different? Say I choose the Conservatives as my listed and the Green Party as my local. Does the Green Party get 1 seat if they get 3% of the vote in all of Ontario? Or are they denied a seat because not enought chose them for listed? Cuz if they don't get the option of the seat, I'm not seeing the point here.

I think the Green Party still gets some benefit from the vote, though I'm not absolutely sure.
