VMWare's interface is absolute crap. It runs out of the web browser and is really irritating. We stopped using VMWare at work for this reason.

What version of VMWare were you using? What was your alternative?

VMWare server uses web interface which is complete and utter garbage.
We have been testing out KVM, particularly with the news that Red Hat has dropped Xen in favor of KVM. Also VirtualBox is one I (we) use to test new OS's, features etc

Yeah, I figured it would be either Xen or KVM. Virtualbox seems pretty good, but it just seems to be lacking a bit of polish for enterprise deployment. Pretty for the hobbyist, though.

the setup that Tomshardware did was pretty awesome I might have to try that but you would need quite the system to run smooth.
