I just realized that we don't have a Wii thread so............here's my first post on it:

VGCats and what you can do with your Wiimote.
Oh, and the HL2 mods for a Wiimote look promising.

Xbox live makes the 360 tops in my books, but the Wii is a very close second.

Im with the Jew
Xbox 360 has the best controller, game library and online support.
I played the Wii for a week at my house. I wasnt impressed.
I played Gears of War and Dead Rising for about an hour each and those games not only look amazing but are amazingly fun too.

problem is gears of war is fun for about an hour then after that its not so much and same with dead rising..
we have found even with the wii sports people will play it for hours and hours and still have lots of fun with it..
now mind you what we see and what people will play at home are different and people tend to play games more in a group here so I am sure thats why the Wii is doing way better here then the xbox 360

I would happily play Gears of war for hours on end. Plus it has a coop mode which makes it extremely fun.
Dead Rising I played for almost 4 hours straight when I First tried it at Dempsey's.
I played Wii Sports for a half hour and got bored. I tried it again a day later, and got bored after a half hour again.
The Wii is fun in groups, but thats about it. Wii sports had little replay value for me and the Zelda game was just not fun.

Yeah, for me the Wii is the party console. I have a blast playing it when they're are other people. When I played it on my own without anyone there, I just felt like a tool swinging at flies. When you're competing against someone, well, if you're both bringers of death to gnats it's fine.
The 360 wins for me simply because it does all the stuff I want and it does it right. Join mid-way through a game, great graphics, a multiplayer aspect that makes the PC jealous, large library, easy to mod, and the list goes on.
I swear M$ makes the 360 this good just so that people forget what a sh!tty job they're doing on the PC

The Wii totally is a party console most times you have 2+ people playing it. XBOX360 is alot of games you can play single player, and if you want multiple people you have to almost connect 2 XBOX360's just to have fun.

Yup, the Xbox division is almost completely independent from the rest of M$. Thats why it puts out such ridiculously good products
And the Wii. Yes, its more fun with more people, but I dont see it lasting. I've yet to see a game that 'took advantage' of the Wiimote and honestly, I dont find it that intuitive, and I've had others remark the same.
Its an interesting idea for a console, and It does have some nifty things on it, but I dont see it beating out the Xbox360. Hell, I'd bet even the PS3 will come back in a few months and start to outsell it.

Xbox Live makes it so that all you need is an internet connection. The integration makes it so that you can play with multiple people anywhere. The buddy announce and stuff are really well done. The Wii is good for a party (ie. people over at your house). The 360, to me, has the better single player and internet multiplayer experience.
And I don't see how you need 2 360's just to have fun. The screen size is the same (it still gets split on the Wii). Cords aren't an issue for the 360 either. So, other waving your arms around, it seems pretty similar to me.

Im kinda curious as well as to why you'd need two 360's to have an enjoyable experience... THere are more games for the 360 than GOW so really the FPS argument is out and that argument is moot anyways.

Microsoft defiantly did something right with the XBOX360. Although Nothing beats a good PC

While I agree, we seem to be a dying breed.
