Though, when he says we need a machine capable of 1.5 billion rays and the best workstation we have now is 0.08 billion, you know not to hold your breath waiting for it to come tomorrow :lol:

An alternative to the raster-based displays of today, Intel has been investing heavily in it. In fact, you can download Quake 3 and 4 versions that are visually computed solely by your CPU without any quality loss. Everybody seems to love raytracing:
