MMORPG without the Fee

I know there are lots of you out there who's largest complaint with MMORPG's is that cost money per month. Well here are a few options open to you.

Damonin has a good about page, did you know the WoW is actually tile based and the client handles fudging the animation?
I also like that you can become map makers for these projects.
