Yeah, quad cores in that 8 socket Opteron system would be pretty frickin' sweet.

i want to know how much heat they kick out with that kinda consumption
think max load
300 * 64 = 19,200 W
you would need like 40 psu's just to power the sucker (assuming redundancy)

0.300 Watt X 64 Cores = 19.2 Watts

well i saw that but assumed it couldnt mean megawatt...

Yeah, that would be with an "m" that's capitalized. It's a max of 300 milliwatts so it's not all that bad.
