Not safe for work because Tom Cruise and John Travolta will gang bang you if you say anything against them ;)

A very interesting book:

(I read the whole thing)

The website /. had to link to due to legalistic pressure from the Scientology lawyers:

The court case is still going on (multiple ones):

Many questions and answers about Scientology:

Feel free to move this if facing legal pressure, Homey B

I'm still laughing over the last paragraph. I so want to see the episode now.

I've seen it about three times now. Its utterly fantastic!

I just love Matt Stone and Trey Parker's response to Isaac Hayes quitting.

"So, Scientology, you may have won THIS battle, but the million-year war for earth has just begun! Temporarily anozinizing our episode will NOT stop us from keeping Thetans forever trapped in your pitiful man-bodies... You have obstructed us for now, but your feeble bid to save humanity will fail! Hail Xenu!"

Why did Hayes quit? The article leaves it kinda vague. Was it because they made the episode or because of the backlash?

the impression I was under was that he is also into Scientology so when they made this episode he was not happy so he left...

Isaac hayes is in fact a scientologist. When they made fun of Scientology he was greatly upset and probably recieved pressure from other members of the cult to quit.. His reasons were because of his activist past he did not feel comfortable making fun of people's relgions. Trey Parker and Matt Stone replied that he had no problem with it when they were making fun of catholics and protestants and Jews.

Go figure :P

What do they plan to do with Chef's character now that Hayes is gone? I see amusing/horrible death scene opportunities.

They've replaced him with another voice actor.

In the tenth season, the first episode will make jokes as to why his voice is different and the kids cant figure out why.

That's even more hilarious. There's a sh!tload of people in Hollywood into this--more than I thought.

Parker and Stone will definitely be labelled wogs and SP's for this. I can't even imagine the legal fees the Scientologists are racking up against these guys.

Watch it while you can. A DMCA notice to YouTube already removed it from there.

A group called Anonymous has begun to wage a "hacker war" on Scientologist websites:

http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=10587

I don't think is the right response as it will only:

i. unite them further
ii. give them a sense of martyrism
iii. show Anonymous as religious-centralized themselves:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrkchXCzY70

It has come to the attention of Anonymous that there are a number of you out there who do not clearly understand what we are or why we have undertaken our present course of action. Contrary to the assumptions of the media, Anonymous is not "a group of super hackers".

Anonymous is a collective of individuals united by an awareness that someone must do the right thing, that someone must bring light to the darkness, that someone must open the eyes of a public that has slumbered for far too long. Among our numbers you will find individuals from all walks of life - lawyers, parents, IT professionals, members of law enforcement, college students, veterinary technicians and more.

Anonymous is everyone and everywhere. We have no leaders, no single entity directing us - only the collective outrage of individuals, guiding our hand in the current efforts to bring awareness. We want you to be aware of the very real dangers of Scientology.

We want you to know about the gross human rights violations committed by this cult. We want you to know about Lisa McPhearson. We want you to know about former members of Scientology's private navy, SeaOrg, who were forced to have abortions so that they could continue in service to the church. We want you to know about Scientology's use of child labor and their gulags. We want you to know about Operation Freakout and Paulette Cooper. We want you to know about Operation Snow White and Scientology's efforts to infiltrate the government of the United States of America.

We want you to know about all of these things that have been swept under the rug for far too long. The information is out there. It is yours for the taking. Arm yourself with knowledge.

Be very wary of the 10th of February.

Anonymous invites you to join us in an act of solidarity. Anonymous invites you to take up the banner of free speech, of human rights, of family and freedom. Join us in protest outside of Scientology centers world wide.

We are Anonymous.

We are Legion.

We do not forgive.

We do not forget.

We will be heard.

Expect us.

Bolding is done by me. The "we are Legion" statement is slightly confusing:

Well, to me anyways.
