I dunno if you guys have been following RIMM's (Research In Motion) trial with NTP, but this is pretty interesting:

NTP has won multiple U.S. court cases against RIMM. The U.S. Patent office has rejected each of those cases. This trial is actually important enough that the federal government of Canada asked it be thrown out. Even more interesting is that a good chunk of the U.S. defence services utilize tech. based off of RIMM's networks.
