Well, I got sick of Winamp always needing to update and all the sh!t that it downloads (security risk for teh lose). I was also looking for some dual core apps. Thankfully, I found one that does both. Foobar, quite frankly, kicks @$$. When you first get it installed, I had one of those first Linux install moments (ie. "Now what the h3ll do I do with it?"). Honestly, it looks almost like notepad. Take a look:

So now I figure there's got to be plugins. Oh yeah, there are 8) This is what I came up with after about an afternoon of d!cking around with it. It shows the lyrics, album art, sorts all of my albums, and gives me the info of each song (artist, album, song, etc.)

Here's a guy who has everything I do (plus a bit) combined with a skin. I will eventually have something similar:

Here are most of the plugins to do that:

Not to mention all of these:

SUMMARY:

Foobar is pretty f00kin' cool

About the only 2 sites you'll need to get all your album art. Linux supported at both.

I've used it in the past, and frankly I wasnt impressed with it...

Hopefully they've gotten most of the kinks worked out by now since that was awhile ago.

Seems like they've spruced it up somewhat since last I looked.

To me though, in linux XMMS=teh win

You can get either a linux or win32 version if memory serves me

As far as I know, foobar is Win32 only. However, from what I've heard, Amarok has (basically) all the same functionality of foobar. My "linux" post was in reference to those album art programs/webpage.
