Why did I post it? The infamous "if it burns my eyes, it burns yours." Homey J knows it far too well.

I think we've talked about this before, but you should really put some kind of warning on these links, even if it's just NSFW. Some people do check the board from work.

In a case like this you might also want to include a "scarred for life" warning.


Also, I didn't look at the pics but I have heard about this before and have also heard it is fake, although I can't judge for myself.

Meh. Nobody seemed to put NSFW tags whenever they swore in a post for me when I checked from work.

I think there is a much slimmer chance you would get fired for reading an article with swearing in it.

Infact, in many workplaces swearing is the norm....or at the very least tolerated. This on the other hand is entirely different....I find it hard to believe that any workplace would find this acceptable.


Besides...the "they didn't do it for me, so I'm not going to do it for them" argument is a poor one. If you want swearing to be labeled NSFW, then you should start and maybe it will catch on. Or at the very least propose that it be implemented....

And as for the Me scarred you scarred thing. Why are you looking at this shit in the first place?

Slimmer chance? Probably, but the chance still exists. Hell, there's been 3 people on [M] fired while I was on it with the grand total being around 10. It is still a reality. It's the whole reason I stopped checking this site while at work. Fuck filters are fairly common at many large organizations.

I just quit looking at this website at work and the problem was solved.

Right...that's why I said slimmer, of course the chance still exists. Obviousally everyone who checks the board from work is comfortable with viewing swearing while at work, since no-one has ever said "Stop swearing, I can't check the board from work".
On the other hand, they have many times vocally stated "Please mark threads with nudity as 18+ or NSFW, so I don't accidentally check them from work"

Well you certinly set an example, although I think it was mostly confusing for the rest of us since you never said anything like "I'm sensoring my swearing so I can view the board at work". And you never asked that threads with swearing in them be labeled NSFW.

The larger issue here is that most people would prefer the threads or links that contain graphic images to be marked in some way so we know what to expect when clicking the link.
It's become obvious from posts in the past, that the standard of our little online community is - swearing is ok, nude/graphic images should have a warning. As a part of said community, we all have a responsibility to follow this standard.

this feels a little different to me.. there is a line and i think it was crossed or something .. super messed
