I think that the last part applies more to business then power users. Most corporations want stock kernels, and technical support. I have seen many Linux setups do the things they are talking about. Thing is, you have to know what you are doing to make it work. I guess it leads well into his argument about training costs. Any idiot can use windows...

Well, there's no free lunch in business. If your software is free, the technicians needed to run it effectively will not be.

The lunch may be cheaper in the long run, though.

You have to be careful of who it's done by. Honestly, some of the one's are by software security companies that have ties to M$. Heck, the American Mininster of Software (or whatever the title is) is a former high-up employee of M$. Yet another reason not to trust any reports about software coming from the government.

That's why I go straight to the horse's mouth, bypass the journalistic bull$h!t, and asks the admins themselves.
