This game looks like it's going to be good. Too bad for those people who think consoles have coodies. I've been following it for awhile and I think they might have done something great, but only time will tell. For those of you with the DVDs of the original trilogy, you can see a preview in the special features. Anyway, I'm looking forward to it.

Dont mistake a general dislike of consoles with logical reasons for a rapid hatred of them with no valid cause. I dont mind consoles, I own several, but as a primary gaming machine, they are far lacking in my opinion. No tweaking, bad controls (for those who love their keyboard and mouse) and outdated graphics. Not to mention that the price and replay value dont always match up like they do on the PC.

I saw the preview of the game on the Trilogy DVD's and Im somewhat unimpressed. Since Jedi Outcast and even Jedi Academy there have been few starwars games that make me go. "Ooooh". You want cool lightsaber fighting, get one of those two games, they did it the best IMHO.

I agree with Paul. I love consoles. I just love the PC better. Consoles are for platform games, which rearely need patches. PC's are for shooters and all that stuff that gets pushed out too quickly, and requires more precise controls.
Anyone who has seen my console collection knows I'm not lying.

I hate consoles, great for party games or sports games, but for harcore gamers definatly lacking.

People who play consoles ARE NOT GAMERS, they are just hanging out playing a game.

You can't say that people who play consoles are not gamers. People who "only" play consoles are not gamers. I happen to love my PC as well. I agree with Neb though: consoles are better for the general beat em up games (mainly fighters) as well as Arcade-style games, and PC is better for sims and shooters.

I prefer consoles for games that require quick combos, and precise aerial movement, but after trying the PC for a shooter I will never play one on a console again. The same goes for flight/combat sims, and RTS games.

Unfortunately I don't have Jedi Academy, although I plan to get it sometime, or Jedi Outcast, but my preference for that style of game is definately as a console game. (I have played Jedi Academy before, so I am not just making an uninformed comment)

Until You've played Academy or Outcast dont judge them. Raven created an amazing system for lightsaber and froce powers witht those games that I have yet to see even close to being matched on any console. The controls were far more intuitive, being based on your movements rather than a series of taps on a controller. If you want, I can dump the ISO's on a DVD for you since I Have them both.

Well, Academy and Outcast are also on the Xbox. So the control is great on both the console and PC in that case.


That new Lego Star Wars game looks kick @$$, too.

The lego star wars game is great fun... For a few minutes... Then it got kinda irritating, not for the impressive style though... THe gameplay was just lacking. At least it was in the demo.

I've only read the Gamespy review, but it looked cool enough that I'd give it a try.

I'll try the full version to see what its like.

I did enjoy what I played of it though. Some of the stuff was good fun. Other stuff was too kid-centric. Looked really pretty and Lego like though.
