3 New Mutants Aboard for X-Men 3?

Ain't-It-Cool-News is reporting the rumor that Beast, Gambit and Angel will join the mutant line-up for 20th Century Fox's X-Men 3. While fans will be pleased to hear this, the site adds that Angel might actually be a girl in the movie.

X-Men 3 Casting and Character Details?

XMenFilms.net has provided us with a possible update on the X-Men 3 casting and characters:

I just got some new word on X3. Gambit and Beast we can confirm. Not sure about Angel. Hugh, Famke, Ian, and Patrick are back as of today. This is in addition to the actors already optioned for X3.

Anna, Halle, and James are NOT signed yet, though by the end of the week, they should know what will happen with Anna Paquin.

Looks like besides Phoenix, the SENTINELS are in, including a character called Dr. Bolivar Trask.

AND

Gambit and Beast are CONFIRMED as being in the current screenplay, but no word was given about Angel. What does this mean? We're not sure. Either our source just didn't bother to mention the character, or maybe the character isn't a main player? We're not sure just yet.

The past two weeks have been REALLY hectic at the studio. They have been trying very hard to get everyone back for X3. As of today, the actors comitted to return with new contracts are: Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellan, Famke Janssen and Patrick Stewart. By the end of this week, they should know if Anna Paquin will be returning. No new word on James Marsden, or Halle Berry. Other cast members not mentioned are already optioned for X3 from previous contracts.

In addition to Jean's PHOENIX, the SENTINELS and Dr. Bolivar Trask seem to be making their debut in X3, if the current screenplay doesn't go through drastic changes.

As with all things in Hollywood, things could change. Remember...the Sentinels were originally going to be in X2. Hopefully it'll work out this time!

AND

IGN FilmForce's secret X3 source advised us that Anna Paquin is signed to return as Rogue and that the Danger Room will finally be seen.
