ASIDE: newer releases that i didnt know existed are the M$ cr@p and this one called Spy Doctor which has been on average being downloaded 300,000 times a week from download.com

Ad-aware with Spybot a close second. The M$ one is just one that they bought out. I forget the company, though.

Apparently I downloaded and installed that one, but I cant seem to find how to use it, so whatever...

ghost: did you see all that genuine BS stuff m$ has now put on their site?
whats up with that... do 'real' (i.e. the one that most people use) versions of windows pass this authentication?

any trouble downloading it?

I tried that microsoft one and then scanned with adaware after and found 2 more things with adaware

and adaware was half the time
