Suprnova.org is down

Greetings everybody,

As you have probably noticed, we have often had downtimes. This was because it was so hard to keep this site up!
But now we are sorry to inform you all, that SuprNova is closing down for good in the way that we all know it.
We do not know if SuprNova is going to return, but it is certainly not going to be hosting any more torrent links.
We are very sorry for this, but there was no other way, we have tried everything.

Thank you all that helped us, by donating mirrors or something else, by uploading and seeding files, by helping people out on IRC and on forum, by spreading the word about SuprNova.org.
It is a sad day for all of us!

Please visit SuprNova.org every once in a while to get the latest news on what is happening and if there is anything new to report on.

As we wish to maintain the nice comunity that we created, we are keppig forums and irc servers open.

Thank you all and Goodbye!
sloncek & the rest of the SuprNova Team

That was taken off their site this morning...

They were an excellent resource for anything and everything bittorrent. The site will be missed...

Here's to that.

I've been looking up alternative site. TorrentSpy is pretty decent.

I doubt any as good as Suprnova will pop up again... It was an amazing site... I just wish I had more time to loot its sweet archice of torrents.

Well, they were creating a torrent prog that doesn't need a central server. When they got their cease and desist letter, they probably just folded at first chance and directed all of their efforts towards the new prog. It will probably be better for us in the long run.

They'll still be missed, though.

Yah, I was well aware of their Exeem project... I just wonder how good its going to be. I have some doubts about it.

Yeah, apparently the guy who ran Suprnova was from the GTA and he gave the code away for free to a friend of his.

interesting... it sounds like bitcommet would allow for a wider sharing of files bridging the private and public trackers...

though for once i can understand where the private people have issues

i dont nescerrily agree but I understand
