I'm sure you're all aware that it came out recently. You may not wanna upgrade. Case in point, here's Ryerson's stance on it:

Windows XP users: do NOT install Automatic Updates until advised by CCS
Microsoft is distributing the "SP2" upgrade to Windows XP users beginning Monday August 16th. Some SP2 testers have reported significant problems after installing it. As we are unsure how it will react with other software and systems used at Ryerson it is imperative that you NOT install this upgrade on any Windows XP PC that you will use to access a Ryerson-hosted system or use Ryerson-supplied software until further notice.
To see if your PC runs Windows XP press the "Start" button and look on the left side of the panel. If that doesn't show you the version name, then right-click on the "My Computer" icon and choose "Properties".
If you are NOT running XP disregard this warning.
If you are running XP then press Start > Settings > Control Panel > Systems > Automatic Updates tab, and under the "Settings" section choose the option "Notify me before downloading any updates", then click OK.
When next prompted that there are updates available do NOT agree to download them until CCS sends out another message indicating it is OK to do so. CCS will be testing the Windows XP SP2 upgrade with our centrally supported applications and will report our results to the community as soon as possible.
