Will Unix Quit Working?

So is 2038 something to think about? Or is this article a crock?


Search for "UNIX 2038 Time Limit" within the article if the linking doesn't work. Best be time to update that old IBM mainframe, eh? ;)

I woun'nt worry about it. lol I think that they have plenty of time to fix it.

Well, they said that about 2000, also. Granted, nothing happened but it would still be interesting to see them start tests on stuff. Even though it seems unbelievable, much of the "big businesses" still have some of their core computing actions taking place on old IBM mainframes.

I don't think it's gonna be a problem because, by that time, I feel the stragglers still hanging on to the old technology will have upgraded to levels of at least our time right now.
