I need to borrow a slipstreamed copy of XP Pro from someone.

Flashing my bios to the lastest version fubared windows for some reasons.
I flashed back to the older version and still the same issue, so XP just doesnt like bios flashing.

If someone would be kind enough to oblige me, I will pick it up at your and my convience.

I have the ISO on my desktop and a working burner, In fact I just made the exact cd yesterday.

I can't really help, but a friend of mine did the same thing about 4 months ago, and he had trouble fixing the program. Apparently the computer would no longer accept his copy of XP, so he had to get someone else's.

What method did you use to flash?

The asus Flash utility built into the board.

It worked the last time I updated... ALthough I was running Win2k then so maybe that made a difference.

Either way, the flash was neccesary, it unlocked higher multipliers and fixed the AGP Aperture size problem I was having.

Playing with fire, man. I've heard horror stories of people using the Windoes version of their flasher and having to RMA.

One of those instances where DOS is your best friend.

The flash program I used doesnt boot into Windows. Its an option on boot up. You can either Press Delete or Alt+F2 and enter the Bios Flash utility. Its almost the same as flashing in DOS, except no boot disk is required.

Yeah, a few guys tried the Alt+F2 method and fried their PC-DL's. However, Homey J has had good luck flashing it that way.

I have so far too.

The only problem it has caused was Windows crapping out, but really, that can happen for any reason, so no surprise I guess.
