RNBD summer lan is getting started it will be September 3-4-5 2004
I need to know it this date is good for you guys and if it is a good date for the most of you then that will be the date.

I also need to know if we can use your barn again Ghost?

there will be 3 turnys one will be Q3 Roket Arena then 2nd will be UT 2004 and the 3rd will be voted on when we get there on Friday.

price of comming is $15 this will pay for prizes and a donatin will be given to Ghosts mom if we can have it at there barn.

Saddly, I think that I will be in Windsor at that time. I "Might", and I stress Might, be able to dropin for part of it.

As soon as I know details I will post them.

As far as the barn usage, I would assume a yes. I will check and make sure of that.

That weekend however, is not too good, since I will most likely be in Windsor as well and I assume a few other people will be gone back to school too...

I assume we're talking about the last weekend in August, the 28th - 29th. Hopefully I will be all moved into my appt in London by then so it should be ok for me, but I can't guarantee it.

I suggest Doom 3 (either that or some kind of RTS) for the other tournament, and that UT2004 should be onslaught, with teams. Although I guess that depends on how many people we have.

Personally, I think there should be a vote up for the tournaments, like there has been for every other LAN.

It seems that the first week in Sept is not a good date for the majority. So it has been changed to the last week in Aug.

I will need a partner for the lan to help run. I will not be avalible on the Sunday and I will not be avalabe for part of the Saterday.

If anyone is interested in helping that would be greatly appreciated. I will do my best to orginize all the tourny and get all the prizes. I will need a network assistent to run the network when i am not there. I have to leave on Saterday for a gold tournamnet and that will be for the first part of the day and on Sunday i have a stero contest and i will be away for the whole day.

Now another sudgestion is that someone else orginizes the thing because i will not be there for most of the lan.

I still want to do it, just new date makes it very hard for me.

My thoughts about tourneys

2vs2 quake 3 RA maps to be desided
1vs1 quake 3 osp setup like quakecon
1vs1 doom3 setup like quakecon
2vs2 war3
1vs1 utk4

we are not going to have a Doom 3 tourny for the simple fact that not all of us can run the game.

it's very easy to fuglify

anyone coming to a lan party to game should be able to run it

im not saying that you cant play it, im just saying that there will not be a offical tournament in the lan for Doom 3

you can make your own tourny for it but there will not be a offical tournament for the lan.
