I think it's a great idea. They used to do about the same thing with liquid PCBs in electrical transformers. Takes the heat away as fast as water, and has virtually no conductivity. I kind of wondered why people bothered with watercooling systems when they could use something that wouldn't short out their computer if spilt.

Yeah, it's something to consider. It's more expensive, though. Actually, its thermal capacity is quite less than water. If you wanted the best of both worlds you could get flourinert. Distilled water doesn't conduct electricity. Just plumb the system right and you won't spill anything.
