Finally, something to get things "boosted"

I firmly believe that Linux needs monetary backing if it's going to take off "big time."

As long as the software remains free. If people want to pay for tech support, that should be an option. I like the fact that I can get the latest code with the click of a button. That is were Linux is better then Unix, everyone can download the code, find a bug or a better way and upload the change.

I belive that Linux will take over eventually, even with out financial backing. People like things that are free and easy. We have the free, now we are waiting for the easy:lol:

I still like i.d. software's plan.

But I guess I'm neo-capitalistic to the core. ;)

Yeah, the "Little Guys" seem to be winning all the big contracts today.

[H]ardOCP seems to suggest that Dell's gonna start selling AMD. If that's true, it's a huge OEM win for AMD.

Here's a few pics:

Quite frankly, we're but a very small percentage in the computer world. AMD really needs an OEM deal like this if they're going to compete toe-to-toe with Intel.

That's pretty cool, It just makes sense to me that Dell would sell AMD as well as Intel. I mean, you want to appeal to the largest customer base possible, unless Intel was threatening to break their legs...or they thought that there wasn't a market for the AMD chips.

I'd say it's more the former option. Intel's been known for actions like that. Just look at the whole Asus PC-DL situation.

Well, atleast some customers are forcing Dell to buy some Athlon's. Maybe if enough people request it then they will have to start offering the chips eventually.

Michael Dell interview on Linux:

He, suprisingly, seems quite reasonable.

HP flips the bird to Dell and says we'll be you to it.......

.......and do a better job since we've already got some experience with it.

Dell wants your vote on Linux:

So go tell 'em what you want out of Linux.

Votes counted, Linux wins! Also, it seams that dell is a little pissed at MicroShaft at the moment.... can anyone else hear bells tolling?
