Battlestar Galatica's coming back. Apparently, the mini-series showed that there is still some interest in it:

Holy sh!t. Just started watching it. This, my friends, is what Star Trek should be. F00k the prime directive.

Highly recommended.

I never realized how much BSG was like Dune. It's actually pretty cool.......in a rip-off cool kinda way.

How so? Given, Dune is more kickass than BSG, but where's the common ground?

1. Dune was not ever more kickass than the new BSG

2. There are quite a few parallels due to the fact that Frank Herbert took ideas and concepts from every religion and culture you can think.

If you look closely you can draw quite a few similarities between the Fremen and the remaing survivors of Humanity. THere are far more than that, but I really dont feel like going into detail right now. Maybe The Jew will, he's always good for clarifying a debate.

I was referring to the fact that in this series the president is taking meds that give her visions that help her lead her nomadic people. Seems awful familiar what with Peter, the spice, and the Fremen. Not exactly the same, but the parallels do exist. At least, I think so.

I can see with the vision-inducing meds.

And if you want to compare -
READ THE DAMN BOOK, and then talk to me

They should have just left it with Herbert's books. When you get a kid and a 'collaborating' ghostwriter, things never go well.
