I also have a good crack for it and found a lan server
All ready for the mini lan

I've actually been playing this for the last couple of weeks (Reading Week Excluded). And I have to say that overall it's a pretty solid game. The vechicle upgrades are kind of useless, and you usually end up picking the fastest car regardless of it's other characteristics, but the physics are tight and although it might not be quite as much "fun" as Midnight Club 2 is right at the start, it is challenging in a better way, and the alternate race modes are pure genius.
My house-mate is working his way through it right now, and he is pretty close to the end. I'll let you know the final verdict when he finishes it.
