We received a press release from Atari, finally announcing the rebate program for Unreal Tournament 2004, among other things related to the game. Due out later this year, Unreal Tournament 2004 will carry a suggested retail price of $39.99. Current owners of Unreal Tournament 2003 (in North America) will receive a $10 rebate after submitting proof of purchase of UT2003 and a voucher and receipt from UT2004. A special edition version of UT2004 is planned as well. Here's more info on that
A Special Edition package will also be available for Holiday for a suggested price of $59.95. Unreal Tournament 2004 DVD Special Edition will ship as a double-DVD set - disc one will include all of the game content while disc 2 will include more than 150 hours of Video Training Modules (VTMs) from 3D Buzz that will teach fans and amateur mod makers how to use the Unreal Editor to create custom game content. Unreal Tournament 2004 DVD Special Edition will come in a limited edition metal box and will contain a Logitech Internet Chat Headset for use with the game's exclusive voice over IP (voice chat) technology, as well as an Unreal window sticker.

Those training video's sound pretty cool, they must really want alot of people to make mods for UT2004.
Also, $39.99 is pretty cheap and with another $10 off, that is a great price for a game, unless the prices are in American dollars, in which case it kind of sucks.

Prices are of course american, and does it matter if it is out by the lan? We won't play it anyway

Here's my prediction for the LAN: Q3, Q3, Q3, just like everyother one, well not me. I will have it installed, and play in the tourney, but no more.

I assume you meant there is not enough people, and I agree with you. The lan needs to get alot bigger before we could have a good game of BF1942, plus it will be even worse with all the people who arn't comming, or are only comming for 1 day...etc.
