I havent had a chance to play it yet, but every review I've seen says its either "just good" or average. Im well aware that some of you have procured copies of said game. i would like your educated opinion on it. Dont just tell me you love it right out (if you do). Try and stop and critically look at the game and give me your thoughts.

it's an old game now and PC gamers won't like it.

I agree, I think they waited too long for the port. It might be ok, but it will never gain the status it did on the X-Box.

I personally think its status on the Xbox was overhyped to begin with. Im just curious to see how Gearbox did with the port.

And in you're first post you said you've never even played the game. I've played it a number of times. I don't think it'll get the same kind of fan base on PC as it did on Xbox. The game is almost 3 years old now so the graphics won't be able to compete with the newer games like Doom 3 and Half-Life 2. Personaly I thought the single player on Halo was amazing. I thought it had a very original storyline and I think it ranks right up there with Half-Life.

There were some things that bugged me about the game...

1) Had to drive the Warthog while the computer used the machine gun on the back. (That's fixed in Halo 2 though)
2) Not enough vehicles. (Again that's fixed in Halo2)
3) Limited multiplayer, only 4 per xbox and you'd only get to look at 1/4 of the TV. System Link allowed up to 16 players in a game but again you'd need 4 Xboxes, 4 TV and even then you'd only have 1/4 of the screen to look at. (Halo 2 on Xbox will be Xbox Live compatiable so I guess that fixes that problem too.)

So if you're looking to play a game with an original storyline you should like Halo. Just remember that even though it just came out on PC the graphics aren't quite top of the line because if it being so old. So it's not quite fair to compare it to Half-Life 2 graphics wise. I mean that's almost like comparing Dark Forces 2 with Outcast. But I totaly think the graphics for Halo were ahead of their time when the game first came out. I can't wait to see how the graphics in Halo 2 will compare to Half-Life 2. From the videos I've seen on HL2 it still "looks" better then Halo 2 but I guarentee both games will have kickass storylines. Anyways that's just my .02 cents worth.

Alrighty there Calm down.....

1. I was talking about Halo PC that I had never played. I have played the Xbox version and was underwhelmed by it.

2. The storyline isnt that original....

3. I did compare the Dark Forces 2 to outcast. You cant compare them graphically, but you can compare them gameplay wise.

4. Final note. Compare the graphics in Halo 2 to Doom 3 if you want an accurate comparison. HL has never been about graphics, its about gameplay. Doom 3 is eye-candy. But as a side-note. HL2 will still look better. Halo2 is severly limited by the Xbox hardware itself....

Calm down over what? I just thought it was odd that you said it was overrated when you said in you're first post that you haven't played it. My whole post was just an answer to yours..

I was just giving you my thoughts on the game. I didn't know you had played the game on Xbox already...

Halo is pretty enjoyable. The multiplayer is most fun. Graphics are ok considering. You are right in saying that it probably wont have a big following. MP levels are kinda blah but some are quite fun. I love the Banshee!

I can only assume that you are being sarcastic in your posts Ghost, either that you have been taking lessons from The Pimp in how to interpret online conversation. :D
If this is true, then I think you are guilty of assuming that your posts will be read as sarcastic and not taken literally, even though there is nothing to indicate that (ie. an emoticon).
