AOL suing Appartment in NYC

Apparently some appartment building in NYC was able to hack a wireless AOL signal and resell it to their tenants...
if you ask me AOL is just mad because they were caught with their pants down so to speak... they must have had a very unsecure line... on top of the fact that they figure it has been happening since May... to me it sounds like poor regulation of internet signal... dont they usually have someone monitoring bandwidth as they do with DSL?
