Apparently, laptop screens are a b!tch to mod. I'm pressuming this is one of those?

I think it mostly depends on what kind of connector the thing comes with. If it is a regular digital panel connector it would be no problem to mod. If it is some kind of proprietary molex then it could be pretty hard to get working.

It all depends on whether the screen requires a decoder. Often these are attached to the "mobo" of the laptop which makes things difficult. If, however, if uses RCA, S-video, serial, parallel, VGA, DVI, or even coax it should be relatively simple.

I think the chances of it using coax are just about zero. Unless you mean digital coaxial, in which case the chances
are zero.

Coax = teh unlikely, but possible.
Digital coax = teh no.
Unless it projects visuals through sound. Only 5 grams of 'shrooms and LSD necessary every time you boot your comp.
