According to a recent study conducted by the University of Pensylvania people who watch tv have less of a gap between how they view themselves (their current situation) and their ideal situation. "[tv] prevents people from worrying about how they were falling short in life... books can serve the same purpose but without tv's drawbacks"
but apparently "tv can become a problem if you overdo it"

on a somewhat unrelated topic Researchers at McGill Uni tracked peoples behavior throughout the week and found that Thursdays are the best days to ask for favors/raises etc. "On Thursdays [people] were most agreeable and submissive."
Subsequently people are least agreeable on the weekend and down right pissy on Wednessdays...
(lol thurs they only night something good isnt on the tv?)
