Ok, I apologize again, but I cannot post tonight. I got very busy after posting earlier, and I have to get to bed so I don't fall asleep at the wheel tomorrow. At least this gives everyone a final chance to post.

question OOC: is nic being to agressive in his action due to the fact the pirate was caught cheating and he also confessed?
the reason i asked is because this seems OVERLY agressive for a jedi as i have made no agressive moves towards him
just a question as i am unaware of jedi ediquette

Actually yes. I am going to give him a darkside point if he persists in his actions, as well as one further point if anyone, including the man you are holding is injured because of it.

Nik, consider this a warning. I saw your post just before I went out today and was trying to decide if you were at all justified in your actions. Although I can see that you are trying to protect the pirate, you were the one who pulled a weapon without trying to even attempt an unarmed solution. You are relying on fear and inimidation, and now violence to solve the problem. You never even asked Nagta to explain himself.

Nagta will not receive any darkside points in defending himself no matter how far he goes. If anyone else is injured in the scuffle I will, however give both of you darkside points.

Steve, I realize that you are playing in character as an extremely protective and dutiful bodyguard, but that can put you close to the darkside anyway, and your actions have been somewhat violent. If the man you are holding is injured you will get a darkside point, even if you lose your arm, because he is helpless while in your grasp, and Nik will have to beat a very high difficulty to avoid injuring him while severing your arm.

Nik, you have until I post to alter your decision and have it counted as mental imagery, or continue down this path to it's inevitable bloody, and most-likely lethal end. The fact that you are using the force to inflict a very nasty injury doesn't help any.

on a related note do i get a dex/dodge bonus for being battle ready as nik has to activate his weapon and strike

also note that i have tossed the pirate aside my question is this how is the order of actions determined here (since i dont believe that d6 has initiative)

D6 has initiative in a different way that you are used to.

This is How I think it might go, but please feel free to correct me if Im wrong Samurai.
If Nick does indeed choose to strike at you, he simply would. You would then get a chance to dodge his attack, as you were prepared for it. Then once combat is started, perception would be rolled to determine the order. After that things would play out. If your dodge roll is less than his lightsaber combat roll though, you're screwed. However, since Nick is making a called shot (attempt to sever your hand) I imagine this would add to the difficulty number, but once again, this is Sean's call and Im just guessing.

I think you've hit the nail on the head as far as the D6 rules go. Initiative is determined by which character has the most perception, and as far as Ka's first strike goes I think the best Nagta could do would be a reaction skill like dodge. After that, combat moves would be determined by perception.
As far as any plus' to Dex go, the most likely scenario would be minus' on Ka's side for multiple actions and called shots. Although obviousally Sean can really run the game anyway he likes, so he might decide to make changes to the sequence of play here.

It says in my character profile:
Personality:
Ka is very stubborn, and always thinks his ideas are the best. When confronted, he can become violent, but his Jedi companion Rava tries his best to keep Ka under control

When I ask you to do something, twice, and you refuse, I consider that being confronted. Jedi are like Police, and any good cop would have taken you down after you dis-obeyed his order - twice. This is a role playing game, and I think I played my character pretty good. Besides, his saber is red, maybe he is actually a dark Jedi. Only time will tell. Maybe I want a darkside point...

As for your most recent post where you drop the pirate, I think that was some serious meta-gaming since you knew your arm was going to be severed.

nik
i wasnt meta gaming, you can kill me i suppose thats fine thats the way the game goes i was satisfied that he basically confessed.... if you are determined to fight then fine i'm not going to back down...

Side note: you had your sabre drawn for several rounds so it was apparent that you were intending to advance. so its not like i was dropping the pirate in reaction to you... all along i have been posting things expecting you to attack (such as i was going to throw the pirate at you if you advanced ect)

Nick is playing in character, but the rules are supposed to be particularly tough for Jedi, that is why he will get a darkside point no matter what sort of violent action he takes at this time. And as I pointed out before, if innocent bystanders are harmed there will be plenty more "evilness" to go around.

As for the order of actions:

Ka strike's first, but there will be a multiple actions penalty (no penalty for activating the two powers involved, as the special ability states, but he will get a penalty for attacking in the same round as activating the power).

Nagta's initial reaction will finish the round, and all following moves will be based on who rolls the highest perception each subsequent round.

Nick, if you don't know the details about lightsaber combat, then let me know and I will explain them.

I'd say they are both toeing the line in this situation...

While Nick has had his Saber out for several rounds, Steve has been making threatening and violent actions for all of them.

While it is true that Jedi are supposed to try to find peaceful means to an end, The situation hasnt allowed for alot of Negotiation...

At the same time he is striking to harm Nagta, however, he isnt trying to kill him, only prevent him from harming the pirate.

Nagta, while acting in character, has been actively using fear, force and intimidation to achieve his ends. He hasnt hurt anyone yet, but he too is toeing the line. I can see that both players are acting in character, but I dont know if the situation would warrant several dark side points.

Nick isnt directly doing anything to incur a dark side point (Killing without reason, Causing gratuitous injury, using the force while angry or filled with hate), but he is pushing it. As far as his character is concerned, it is neccesary to remove one of Nagta's limbs so long as he continues to attack the pirate. However, since Nagta has dropped the pirate, Nick should probably post another action given the current situation, as should Nagta after Nick does.

Again, this is only my speculation
The end decision goes to Sean as it is his game. It all depends on how forgiving he is about dark side points.
