So I'm pressuming Win4Lin can work with HL2? Or have you actually installed Windows to play it?

I don't know, I don't have Win4Lin installed. Last time I checked they had support for parts of DirectX 3 so I doubt it would work.
I am running it in WineX, Steam works "Fine" as well as a crappy program can.
Right now I need a CD crack... which you have just provided! Thanks.
I now understand why people hate steam, so much wasted time.

Why would they need to put out a warez version to block off Steam keys? Just look at a log file and delete the ones that have more than 50 log ins in the past 2 days or so.
Sounds like a crock of cr@p to me.

Remember, they used to be MS employees and they did lie through their teeth about the code leak so its very possible that they're just BSing and had nothing to do with the release of that version though. I agree on the blocking of the logins though. What a way to waste money.

Yeah, I saw it but it seemed like a rip-off to me. WC3 had a deluxe version that was worth it. A T-shirt and a cruddy book? No thanks. If I was gonna go that route I woulda bought the gold package. Oh well.......no HL Source for me. Shucks.
