Chris knew from the start that there would be people coming who didn't know him as far as I know. It was thought from the beginning that the more people the better. It would make for bigger games and also bring in more loot. Disaster? I'd say that the Summer Redneck Beatdown was one of our smoothest LAN's ever and easily one of our biggest (no viruses, a power problem that was soon fixed, static servers, 1/2 my basement was filled, another successful tournament, etc.). With what's been planned, it's only gonna be better. Like I said, for those invited to the bachelor party by Chris around $50 will be the suggested cost (you can even pay more if ya wanna). For those not specifically not invited, I believe the cost should be lessened (to me, more people = more fun & more cash for Chris).

I would argue that this LAN is also for us and that it's not being selfish. By that one needs to merely look at the goals of the LAN. To give Chris a bachelor party LAN where he has a lot of fun and makes an amount of money for his honeymoon and for tools (now, anyways). Yes, the ultimate goal is for Chris to be happy. Does that mean we can't have fun? No. Do you want this LAN to be fun for you? Anyone who doesn't say yes, quite frankly, is lying. Chris is going to be the focal point of the party, but who says we can't have fun with him? I always have fun when I know that other people are having fun and I suspect (to varying degrees) that everyone else has somewhat similar feelings. It only takes a few people to be a bit of a downer. If everyone's having fun and if Chris is getting what he wants (everything patched, classic games, D2, no speakers, no glare, lots of games...........that's all I can think of off the top of my head), then it's going to be a great LAN/bachelor party. Those who have been invited realize that it's also a bachelor party. On Chris leaving, man, I've got enough schtick planned that he won't have time to think about leaving. Not to mention, I honestly think that we're all beyond that tantrum stage.

One also has to realize that this isn't your average bachelor party. It's a LAN (honestly, when was the last time you heard of a bachelor LAN?). If it were a regular bachelor party, we just get him so loaded he'd have a good time no matter what. With a LAN, everybody has to have a good time to keep things moving. Granted, we are obliged to keep playing even if we don't want for Chris' sake. But all I'm saying is that it would be a whole heck of a lot easier if everybody is having fun.

Well I agree to the jist of the post

With the people paying less that don't know chris, But we really should ask again if chris wants all those people there. If not this can turn into a normal lan and then arn't we going to be doing something the night before his wedding anyway????

so who cares go with the lan.

You say we are all out of the tantrum stage eh?
Hmm who is this party for again?

I just think this should be just for the group, Its easy chirs will be happy and there will be less problem and yes there will still be fun.

I agree with the less price for people who dont even know chris.. so then is there going to be a list made of people who should pay the money?? that way everyone knows who they are that have to pay a bit more.. as for the people that dont even know him sure I think all they should have to do is like pay a little money and maybe like 5$ from them goes to chris or something... I dont even care if any money from them goes to chris but at least we (the people who know him) should pay.

Any ideas ??

I like the list idea..

Yeah, things fell apart for me Gray. Sorry about that. Anyhoo, thought I'd give a brief run down for everyone before I send out the email.

What?

-a bachelor LAN for Chris that will involve gaming, swimming (hopefully), tournaments, contest, BBQ's, and other stuff I haven't dreamt up/not willing to tell/haven't been told yet.

When?

-the setup will occur on Wednesday night of May 14. Bring your comp and just about everything that you want to be there for Thursday. We'll be installing and setting up everything. The LAN will go from Thursday to Saturday (the 15 to the 17). p.s. could someone help Homey V bring the tables over before this? Anyone with a truck/SUV/van? That would be much appreciated as I'll be in Toronto for my class.

Where?

-since we're trying to raise as much $ as possible, we won't be renting out anything. We want to cram as many people in as possible so the LAN will be at my house in the basement again.

Who?

-everyone you can possibly invite. Friends of Chris pay a $20 cover for the LAN (you can give more if you want). I'm leave the tool cost up to Gray, though I believe friends of Chris should expect to pay $30. First time LANers or people who don't know Chris pay $15 (though, highly recommended to pay more as all are).

Why?

-did ya miss the first blurp? IT'S CHRIS' BACHELOR PARTY

How?

-arrive and bring everyone you can by any means necessary. Blind eyes will be turned ;)

All data subject to change.................hopefully not, though.

hmmmm small problem. i think that i should be able to make it just that one of the meat cutters in the store is taking hollidays and that leaves just two meat cutters in the store left that would be me and the manager. I could be mistaken because when i checked the scedual, the guys hollidays start on May 24 and not the holliday weekend so maby it was just a scrue up of communication ( i hope) well even if i dont make it I will give gray the $50 for chris.

hope to see ya all there
