I think you might be confusing Asia with Mexico.

Pimpin Matt is correct. Aside from the large urban centres that have chlorinated or Trojan treated water, the water has the potential to have large amounts of bacteria and other filth in it. Granted, one could also argue that our wells have that same potential. Though, the lacking infastructure of our Asian friends would tilt the argument in Pimpin Matt's favour. Also, Homey J is also correct in saying that Mexico has water problems. For example, Mexico City has sunk 8 metres in some spots due to the water table being lowered so much.

I guess I was thinking of Japan when you said Asia, the water there is prety clean - atleast as clean as it is here. I guess if you are considering China, India, and the surrounding area then you are right.
