No....of course not.
Actually, I'm not saying that all the prizes should go to existing tournaments, I'm just saying that if you have extra prizes, why let them go to waste. Also, larger prizes would draw more competitors.

I'd just make some fun, non-computing related tournies like most of the really big LAN's have (ie. comp building contest at Quakecon).

Renaming all those files and Breaking them up into 100's of smaller ones and then recompiling them.
Only to find out this is all to waste.
